Ooh! Scott, Trey & Others. . . . Better not call them "cedars" or risk the wrath of Bill Pranty :-) <==== Lol. They're actually Bald Cypress per Mr. Pranty. OK, don't know where you're coming from, but if you're anywhere near Clewiston, on S.R. 80, take that road a little east of Clewiston until you see John Stretch Park on the north side of the highway. Almost directly across from it is a road that parallels the Miami Canal and is signed. Miamai Canal Rd? Not sure. Take that road, which is paved but then becomes dirt/gravel all the way (7-8 miles?) until you see the only stand of bigger trees on your right. The stand is quite visible for several miles and is atop a grassy knoll. No, not that grassy knoll! That's where one can see the Barn Owls. Be very quiet. Don't slam your car doors. Walk to the top of the grassy knoll and look carefully at this tall stand of cypress. The BAOWs are usually in the very back somewhere or walk to your right as they may be in the trees there as well. Hope that helps.
