Funny you guys are mentioning this. I have several Spot-breasted Orioles in my community: Snapper Creek Townhomes, 72nd St and 113th Pl. Recently, I added Bronzed Cowbird to my yardlist, a juvenile nonetheless. Hmmm. It just so happens that as early as 1929, the great ornithologist Herbert Friedmann published observations on the Bronzed Cowbird's preference for orioles. Still, these birds are considered generalist brood parasites, parasitizing at least 80 spp of birds.
Bird on, darn it!
