Hello,
I am a journalist working on a story for Florida InsideOut magazine about the history of Fisher Island. I heard that bald eagles used to nest there when the place was "deserted," and I was hoping to find someone who could comment on 1)conservation issues that came up during the island's development and 2)recollections about visiting the island, whether to look at birds or for some other reason, before it became what it is today. And if anyone has any old photos of the place, that would also be helpful.
