For the second year in a row, I have several juvenile cardinals frequenting my bird feeders and sunflowers( they are now going through their pre-adult molt). I believe they are offspring of the same pair that I have always had. No shortage of mourning, white winged, or collared doves in my back yard either. There are still one or 2 young spot bresated orioles ( still yellow) hanging around as well.
I know what you mean about the trees being plowed away...guess alot of people don't realize that birds nest in trees . (?)
