Went out with David La Puma yesterday evening to look for the Prothonotary & the Uplands- did see 7 of the latter but none of the former. However, we were entertained by several parulas, at least 3 northern waterthrush, a yellow-throated warbler, two red-eyed vireos, some prairie warblers, a female Orchard oriole (not in the hammock proper but flitting impatiently from tree to tree further south down the road to just north of the youth camp), and, last but not least, what appeared to be a huge female merlin came over and went after a killdeer in one of the fields. I've been busy and out of town for awhile so it's good to get back into the migration swing of things!

You better believe Life is Good,
Michelle
