Yesterday, I had a Red-shouldered Hawk fly over the house. This was my first Red-shouldered in Miami Shores. Later on in the day, a juvenile Cooper's Hawk sat on a telephone pole while I was in a game of soccer at the Miami Shores Recreation Center. I have seen adults being harassed my adults from time to time. And since vultures resemble hawks, I'll mention a mid-summer vulture sighting: two Black Vultures flew over the Miami Shores Publix!
Wow, that just goes to show how exciting summer birding is here.
Well, on land it's boring...
