OK, I will be the first to say it in a post. I believe the bird we have been
discussing for the last few days is a Red-billed Tropicbird. Now I have to get
back out on the water and find a White-tailed Tropicbird for my Planet list.

How frustrating, just when I thought I had a White-tailed Tropicbird on my
Planet List, I am stuck with a "Red-billed Tropicbird'.

Darn!!!!

According to what others with more experience with tropicbirds have shared
with us. We have a photo and description of a Red-billed Tropicbird.

I do believe that one of us should submit the observation, photos and
discussion for review with the Florida Rare Bird Alert.

Even if I made a mistake with the labeling of the Primary Feather Numbering,
they would only be off by one. With the comparison feather on the specimens
still showing black all the way to the end of the wing tip.

Life is good, especially for Paul, who apparently now, picked up a Planet
bird himself on the pelagic trip along with the rest of us.

Cheers!
