It was an exciting day at Biscayne National Park headquarters in Convoy Point, Homestead, as a flock of greater flamingos was seen flying over the point not once but TWICE by park employees (not me, of course - never that lucky!). We hope to see them again and if we will, we will certainly post. Tomorrow I hope to have the wildlife observations documented and we can start to guess where the large birds were headed. Any guesses? Any other sightings in this area? I'll contact Everglades Natl Park staff too... maybe they flew up from Snake Bight?
