Trey Mitchell, Bill Boeringer, and Greg and Debbie Jones joined me for another deep-sea adventure this morning. Yes, they are foolishly risking life and limb by doing so. We had two birds on our agenda: Brown Booby and Band-rumped Storm Petrel. Anything beyond that was an added attraction. We started off fine with 7 Brown Boobies at Fowey Rocks. Heading offshore, we quickly picked-up a Cory's Shearwater in ~450 feet of water. Then, depression set in. It was empty ocean for a while, until we had distant looks at an Audubon's Shearwater. We came in shallower and found a pair of Wilson's Storm Petrels on a weedline. Heading back to deeper water produced two more Cory's Shearwaters, 3 Sooty Terns, and a lone Bridled Tern. Just as we were preparing to head for the dock, we got the Band-rumped Storm Petrel we needed. Birds were few, but we had a nice species assortment, and we were back at the marina at 10:30. I know there were some life, state, year, county, and beer birds in the lot, but I forgot which is which. Please forgive my oversight folks. I had a great time on the water with some nice friends.

Our tally:
Brown Booby 7
Band-rumped Storm Petrel 1
Wilson's Storm Petrel 2
Cory's Shearwater 3
Audubon's Shearwater 1
Sooty Tern 3
Bridled Tern 1

BTW, I spoke to Larry and they had a REALLY good find on their pelagic trip out of the Keys. I'll let him tell you more about it. Congrats Larry!
