The flooded area on Kingman Drive (between Canal and Palm Drive) in Homestead still holds a good variety of shorebirds. Seen this afternoon were:

Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Stilt Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Black-necked Stilt
Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer

Waders included Limpkin and Roseate Spoonbill.

The best way to reach this site is take the Florida Turnpike south to Campbell Drive. Take a right, and go east on Campbell Drive 1/2 mile to Kingman Drive. Turn right. The area is on your right, about 1 1/2 miles south of Campbell Drive (or about 1/2 mile after crossing Canal Drive.
