And no one wants to strike up a conversation with our dizzy friends spamming the board, how about a posting of "love birds"?
The real tragedy is that all the great picture trees on the Florida Bay at Flamingo are gone. This one for instance and most of the mangrove and buttonwoods. And that great fig by the Eco-pond overlook....ruined by Wilma. She was a real heart breaker that gal. I would guess the red-shouldered hawk nest inside that little island was roughed up too. But Paurotis Pond is alive and well and has baby birds galore. The wood storks and roseattes as well as herons, ibis and egrets were stacked up and circling to land in a sight that reminded me of Chicogo O'Hare field.
