The active nest site south off of Old Cutler has had another pair of blue and gold macaws move in to the same borassis palm. They carved another nest about 1/3 the way down. I think this happened because the male has been missing so there is no male to drive the other set away. The female continues to raise her chicks by herself and fend off the attention of a lone macaw.
