Have you considered female or immature Martins? The youngsters are especially light underneath.
If they show a strongly notched tail, that is probably what they are.
If there is no notch at all, Northern Rough-winged Swallows or Cave Swallows are possibilities. NRW Swallow has a brown back. Cave Swallow has some rufous on the flanks and throat, with a rufous rump.
