Two years ago, I saw a Spot-breasted Oriole feeding a juvenile Shiny Cowbird in my backyard near FIU's main campus. Later that summer I located a male Shiny Cowbird in Tamiami Park adjacent to FIU. Now I've completed the trifecta with a female Shiny Cowbird at 16th Street across the street from FIU (by the Vista Verde apartment complex). And I had just seen Spot-breasted Orioles flying nearby . . .
