I went to John Pennekamp today with the family to do some snorkeling in the lagoon. After about an hour of that, I washed off and headed to the Wild Tamrine Trail. I heard what I think is a Mangrove Cuckoo that called in the distance immediatly after my not-so-perfect immitation of one. I did see a Red-shouldered Hawk, a couple White-crowned Pigeons, and a Great-crested Flycatcher, which were really only the interesting species in the park. I did see and attemp to photograph to Black Racers, but they slithered off the second the saw me.
