No big news here, but a bike ride down Research Road Saturday morning yielded lots of Eastern Bluebirds, including males, females and juveniles. There was an Eastern Towhee at Gate 2, as well as Northern Flicker.
Bird life was very limited at Anhinga Trail, but that faithful white-phase GBH was still hanging out, grabbing everything swimming. There were a few adult-sized juvenile Anhingas that provided good photo ops, as did several of this year's Green Heron hatchlings, now in nearly adult plumage.
