11 Flamingoes over Miami on Sat (5/13/06)

I saw these on Saturday just at sunset as the circled overhead several times. I was just south of the JFK Causeway between the Little River and the bird nesting island (Pelican Island). I took many photos, but the boats speeding through the manatee idle zone and the odd light issue with my digital SLR messed the image up a bit. I'm playing with the cloning tool in photo shop to get rid of the light pollution.

I saw 57 in Mud Lake in Everglades NP in July 2004, but this is the first time I've seen flamingoes in Miami proper.
