Stopped by this afternoon after work and there was a fair number of shorebirds, including 2 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS. They were feeding in the first sandbars about 50 yards south of 224 St and easy to see. Other species included Stilt and Semipalmated Sandpipers, Lesser Yellowlegs, Semipalmated Plovers, Dowitcher Sp., and Black-necked Stilts. There are also a few Least Terns. Take the Turnpike to SW 216th street and go east. Turn right on Old Cutler Road and left onto 224 St. The wetlands will be on your right on 224 St. after passing the apartment complex. You can park on a small gravel area on the side of the road. The White-rumps were directly south of this spot. Trey will be posting some shots soon. Cheers!
