Hi:

I'll be in Florida May 11-17 and am hoping to bag a few birds that I missed in April 2005 (when I picked up 29 new lifers). I'd like to find reliable locations for the following species:
Mangrove Cuckoo

Short-tailed Hawk (tough this time of year?)

Antillean Nighthawk (Is my only chance at dusk or can I hope to find perched birds?)

Shiny Cowbird

Roseate Tern (Is this the species that nested in Marathon last year and can no longer be seen at Ft. Zachary Taylor?)

White-winged parakeet (The listserv frequently lists Miami Shores but I can't find the location. Is Miami Shores equal to 'the neighborhood across from the Baptist Hospital'?)

Barn Owl (I saw a reference to Belle Glade Barn Owl Grove, but don't know how to get there).

Red-Cockaded Woodpecker and B.H. Nuthatch (Can I only expect to see the woodpecker at dawn or dusk at their tree cavities?)I will be travelling through Three Lakes WMA on my way to Ocala later in the trip.

Also, are the LaSagra's Flycatcher and W. Spindalis still being seen?

I have a copy of Pranty's 1996 guide.

If the listserve doesn't wish to disclose locations of nesting or otherwise sensitive species, I totally understand.

Thanks in advance:
