I did the first part of the Loop Road at Monroe Station this morning, especially to see nesting Prothonotary Warblers, but also Tufted Titmice, Red-eyed Vireos, all at or near the southern edge of their breeding ranges. There were a few migrants (Cape May, Blackpoll) around too. But the best part was there wasn't a mosquito for miles. If you want to see the Big Cypress in all of its (albeit, dried out) glory, in the comfort of a hike in the mountains, now is the time to go.
Loop Road (Monroe Station) is out US 41 about 47 miles from the Turnpike exit on 8th Street.
