Although I was at Cape Fla at noon Friday, there was a lot of activity. Lots of Bobolinks(around 20 or so) near No Name Harbor, large numbers of Cape May, Blackpoll, C. Yellowthroat, and by far the most abundant-American Redstart. Also Purple Martins, Y.B. Cuckoo, one Magnolia, some Indigo Buntings and only one Black th. Blue (female). Also on the way back while riding my scooter a Loggerhead Shrike was crossing Biscayne Blvd near Bicentennial Park with a House Sparrow in its beak!! Amazing, I wish I had a camera, the victim was almost the same size as the shrike. Lastly a late Gray Catbird in Miami Beach at 15 Terrace & Bay Road.
