To be honest, I am not very sure. The bird I saw had the same color pattern as a 1st winter connecticut warbler (which would be late). The probably is that the eye ring on the bird was incomplete and there was a small white patch at the wing tip and at the mid-part of the wing. I looked repeatedly through by sibley and peterson guide to better place it but havent been able to. Hence the question mark. Do you have any suggestions? I saw two like that, and they spent all there time either on the group or on the low understory.
