Fern Forest in Coconut Creek was fairly birdy this morning. The Cypress Creek Trail is still closed due to hurricane damage but the Prairie Overlook Trail is open and was very productive. I had 13 species of warblers, the highlight of which was a nice male Chestnut-sided. The others were Magnolia, Northern Waterthrush, Blackpoll (tons - males and females), Cape May, Worm-eating, BT Blue, Ovenbird, Redstart, Black-and-white, Prairie, Parula, and Palm. Not a huge number of species but there were pretty good numbers of individual birds. There was also a noisy flock of Cedar Waxwings hanging around.
