Murray Gardler, who is leading my Dry Tortugas Tours, called me to report a brown morph Red-footed Booby on Long Key at the Dry Tortugas, the bird was seen on April 23. He also saw three Short-eared Owls, migrants have been slow due to the good weather. Birdled Tern, Audubon's Shearwater, Roseate Terns and Pomarine Jaeger are some the species that have been seen while traveling to the fort.
