Well, I may have hit on a solution to the problems of starlings in my woodpecker nest box.
Yesterday, after first cleaning out their nest material, agin, containing another egg, I put a piece of screen over the entrance. They're going bonkers today trying to figure this new tactic. Hopefully, after a few days they'll thet'll give up and look for easier pickins. If not, it's to make a trip to the store Georgiana suggested. I'll try not to keep the sreen up to long so as not to discourage the woodpeckers. But they could probaly drill right through the screen. Anyhoe, I'll keep you updtated.
