Toe and I went to Cape Florida early this morning looking for the La Sagra's
that was seen on the 20th. We saw a Black-whiskered Vireo immediately then a few
warbler species, Prairie, Black Poll, Common Yellow Throat and a Palm. We walked
the entire parking area and a soon as we got back to where we started we heard
the La Sagra's in an area between the Lighthouse entrance and the parking lot.
Toe went around by the Lighthouse gate and while he was there I heard then saw
the bird.
Only a quick look, no photo.
We looked for a while but didn't see or hear it so we walked up the pond
trail a little ways to kill a little time. Once we got back we ran into the TAS
gang who were looking for the bird. Shortly after meeting up with them we all
heard the La Sagra's. After a few minutes it was located behind the Lighthouse
Top near the gate leading to the Lighthouse.
Toe and I had to get back home so we left the TAS gang to look for migrants.
