Hi all:
The culmination of over a year's amount of work is finally at hand. TAS has been a leader in the campaign to Hold the Line, and a victory at Commission this week would attest to that leadership.
You all can help secure that victory and save dwindling habitat for birds and birders.
If you haven't already - contact your commissioner, tell him/her you live in their district, you are a voter, and you expect them to vote to Hold the Line. Visit the TAS homepage or www.miamidade.gov/commiss to see who your commissioner is.
If you are willing to make a couple more calls, call the Mayor (305-375-5071) and Commissioner Sorenson (305-375-5218), let them know you are a TAS member and you appreciate their leadership on the issue.
Finally, if you are going to be downtown in the next three days, come by Commission Chambers to show your support. Wear green if you have it.
Five of the 10 applications have already been withdrawn. We have had tremendous success, and each person can help secure a total victory!
