During my 4/7-13/06 vacation in North Carolina, my house sitter and birder/zookeeper (Kreshimir Golenga) counted 26 species of birds in Big George Hammock next door. My giant Mulberry is in full fruit and attracting a lot of birds. White Crowned Pigeon, Collared, Mourning and White-Winged Doves, Blue jays, Cardnals, Catbirds, Mockingbirds, Common and Boat-tailed Grackles, Fish and American Crows, Purpule Martins, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Brown Thrashers, Red-Bellied Woodpecker, Rock Dove, European Starling, Black-White Warbler, Indigo Bunting, Red-eyed Vireo, Great Egret, Common Nighthawk, White Ibis, Monk Parakeets, Ruby-throated Hummingbird. Also 7 species of Butterflies: Greater Sulphur, Zebra Longwing, Monarch, Julia, Gulf Fritillary, Admiral and Longtail Skipper, lots of Dragonflies. It was a very productive week for him. Dolora
