A ninety minute walk around Enchanted Forest Park in Miami turned out to be fairly productive. I saw and heard about forty warbler individuals. Most were males. They seemed to be moving around in three or four flocks around the park. The eastern-most section of the park has been roped off, so the count could have been higher.
White-eyed Vireo
Gray Catbird
Northern Parula
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler- plenty; at least ten
Common Yellowthroat
Northern Waterthrush
Ovenbird
Indigo Bunting- many, and almost all males
Painted Bunting- one male
I had some warbler calling like Palms, but they flew away before I could get on them. If they were Palms, I would have twelve warbler species for the day.
