A brief visit this morning (0700-0800)was rewarded by the Shiny Cowbird, which was hanging with a flock of 8-10 Brown-headed Cowbirds on the wires until they were scared off by......a Barred Owl landing on the same wire!
Few other migrants were seen/heard. Lots of White-crowned Pigeons were about, as well as a male Painted Bunting. 6 Common Ground-Doves were seen along road into the Annex.
