Hi:

I just wanted everyone to be aware of a new booklet published and authored by the "Parrot Lady" herself, Susan Epps. The booklet is entitled "Parrots of South Florida." It's 58 pages long and includes photos (some of wild birds and others from familiar aviaries like the Parrot Jungle etc.) Good job Susan! Now, when we see those psitticids flying around South Florida, we'll have a handy portable reference to easily identify them! I've uploaded a scan of the cover on the caloosa Bird Club website. One further note, the evening Rose-ringed Parakeet roost usually seen in the Royal Palms at the Eckerd's Pharmacy at the corner of U.S. Rte. 41 and Third Avenue South in Naples are back after having mysteriously disappeared through much of last winter. . . .
