I went to what we called the 232 ave. wetlands yesterday, I saw nothing at the old wetlands area but I did see birds in the "NEW WETLANDS" area. For all of you shorebird junkies, please hurry down to this area for shorebirds and waterfowl!! You can scope the new shorebird from on top of the hill by the old area. I have contacted the South Florida Water Managment District about access to the property and will find out more details soon. I think that we will be able to get access with out too much trouble. I was only there for a short time and had a few shorbirds, Greater and Lesser Yellowleggs, Pectorial Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper, Black-necked Stilt, Glossy Ibis and Mottled Duck just to name a few. This area is going to be a "HOT" location for shorebirds starting NOW. Go to the archives for directions for those who don't know.
