At 02:30 UTC the early departers have made it about half the way across the straits, and large numbers of birds are still departing from central Cuba. This is a movement of thousands of birds..."
A brief visit to Barnes this morning was very quiet, though, and with the good weather we may be flown-over. The only "new" migrant I noted this morning was 1 female Black-throated Blue Warbler. Still, the last wave was coast-oriented, and did not hit inland until late morning, so maybe there will be more birds around...
