The Cave Swallows are currently nesting under the bridge on SW 216th St. next to the Turnpike. If coming from the north, just get off at 211 St. and continue to the next stop sign which is 216th. Make a left turn and park on the right below the Turnpike. You can then walk over to the canal. I stopped by at noon today and saw about 20 fly out from underneath the bridge. From what I could tell, these are the West Indian Race. I have recently seen the Mexican Race at different locations, including Dump Marsh (see Birds, Miami-Dade Birding on the TAS homepage.
