I observed the La Sagra's Flycatcher today (3/29) at 8:10 AM in the same general area as 3/26 and 3/27. It was seen in the large Gumbo Limbo tree in the median at the southernmost point of Parking Area C in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP. It flew into the adjacent Sea Grape, hawked an insect, then disappeared into the dense foilage. There is a fruiting Strangler Fig in this area, so perhaps the bird will stay.
It remains silent and perches at 45 degree angle for very short periods. On the "uncooperative scale," it ranks as a 9!
