two excellent books come to mind (I own one and borrowed the other):
Hummingbirds of North America: A Photographic Guide. Steve Howell (2001). Academic Press.
Stokes Beginner's Guide to Hummingbirds. Donald & Lillian Stokes (2002). Little, Brown.
The former is more comprehensive, but both have excellent photographs. Hope this helps.
