Hello Tricia:
It was great spending time with you and the guys today. It made not seeing kites tolerable.

Check out NSN, Fabiola posted a kite from DH with frog legs hanging from its feet. Looks like we have two places we can go.

Regards,

Roy

: Well, today was my second day waiting for the SWTKs in the parking lot at anhinga. Saw two playing over the pines to the south of the entrance booth to the park but otherwise we only saw one waaay up in the time I was camped out. Roy, I did run up to DH and saw nothing , so I decided to give Anhinga at sunset a try.I'm glad I did! found 4 SWTK soaring over the pines along the road just south of the turn to Royal Palm. This one landed twice and sat in this tree where I was able to get quite few pics. It may not be stellar quality (new to digital)+(it is straight off the camera)but I think it answers the question of "are they around in the afternoon?".
: I also was able to see the barred owl but didn't find the nest (yet).DId find the redshoulder nest and was told by a ranger that there are chicks in the one at the visitor center.
: PS thanks Roy, Judd and everyone else for your great company the last couple of days.
