Yesterday while kayaking just off the Deering Estate at Cutler boat basin I had two Whimbrels fly over heading north along the shore. On 4/27/2013 (the exact same date two years ago) I had two Whimbrels fly over me heading north but while I was birding the jetty trail at Black Point Marina. I have had this happen at Crandon with WHIM as well. On 9/17/2012 I had one on the beach and again on 9/22/2013. Interesting to see them coming through these "windows" during migration.
