The west winds were a bust, but a few birds did show up this morning. Prairie Warblers continue (19), Merlin, Cooper's Hawk and FOS Eastern Kingbird. A flock of 8 White-crowned Pigeons chowed on cestrum (invasive exotic), about the only plant with fruit right now.

The most interesting bird was a silent, smallish Myiarchus-type flycatcher near the youth camping area. It had a hint of yellow wash and was too far away to gauge how much, if any, rufous was in the tail. It flew north into a large, inaccessible area.

Photos are through-the-bins with a small digital camera. Very embarrassing quality compared to Larry and Trey's!
