I met up with Ann Wiley at Pinetree Park at about 4pm today (after my chemo and her tour). Pinetree Park was packed with warblers. We found 10 species and perhaps about 75 individuals. There was nothing unusual, other than a nice concentration of migrants. Species included Ovenbird (10+), Worm-eating, Northern Waterthrush (10+), Black-and-white, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart (30+), Cape May, Northern Parula, Blackpoll, and BT Blue.
We also found a singing Black-whiskered Vireo and a Painted Bunting. Chimney Swifts were heard overhead.
We then visited North Shore Open Space Park, which 5 of the above warbler species, with lots of Ovenbirds and Waterthrushes. Unfortunately, there were also lots of cats in the conservation areas.
