Interesting. What time of year was Larry's sighting? Stephenson & Anderson (Birdlife of Florida) show summer and winter sight records for Broward but no spring or fall records, which is strange since they breed in Dade and Palm Beach Counties and migrating birds would be expected in spring and fall. Ebird shows no Broward records at all. I'm assuming that the ranger knew what he was talking about inasmuch as he specified "male Eastern Bluebirds", although we did see Indigo Buntings in the same area.
