There hasn't been a confirmed sighting of the quail-dove at Long Key State Park since March 26. Here are directions, should you try for it: The park entrance (fee, open 8:00 AM to sunset) is at MM 67.5 on US 1 in the Florida Keys. Turn left after the entrance station to reach the parking area for the Golden Orb Trail. The section of trail where the birds have been seen can be accessed from the back of the parking area. At least two birds have been present, seen at various points along the trail; a trail map is here (http://www.tropicalaudubon.org/tasboard/messages/101788.html). These birds are very skittish and are not being seen when birders are noisy or attempt to search off-trail. Reminder: Playback of bird recordings is prohibited in Florida state parks.
