Picking up on Chris's post, these Whistlers are apparently making the rounds back and forth. They have been featured regularly at Wakodahatchee as well as Green Cay. The nature of the layout at Wakodahatchee gives a beter view than Green Cay, but as is the case with all bird watching (and photographing) you play the hand you are dealt. The last three photo ops at Wakodahatchee were all looking east into a rising sun with glassy water making for a horrible picture. This is a 2004 picture.
These birds this year are very wary and it doesn't take much power walkers-joggers-yelling- into-telephones-to-people-in New York-to-come-and see-the-"peace" -of-Boynton to flsuh them. On two occasions they landed and flush again within 60 seconds heading west (Green Cay?)
