I'm not so sure, alex. The birds aren't wading. And the water they are near doesn't really have shallows. I don't think this is going to be difficult to figure out. Just have to make a little time to watch them feed. Whatever adaptation they are doing has happened fairly quickly. They are out in the open in the middle of the day on dry land. Not typical limpkin behavior
