Tyler, the urban limpkins I've been seeing are loosely connected to steep sided canals with limited foraging opportunities. And they aren't prowling the water, they are up high and dry. Apple snails are fairly conspicuous. There are no signs of them, shells or egg mass, in the areas the limpkins are foraging
