Unidentified bird

This bird was in my yard on Key Biscayne 0900-0930 this morning, 26 March, 2015. It appeared unable to fly. I photographed it and while I was searching for its ID, it disappeared by 1000. Presumably flew off or it was predated by neighborhood cats.
