Michael Diaz, Ezequiel Bugallo, Jared Guerra and I spent the morning on Key Biscayne birding both Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and Crandon Park.

We started at 8am at the cape hoping to do some pelandgic seawatching from the lighthouse but didn't turn much up. As we birded the trails we immediately noticed the influx of Northern Parulas in the park. 20 of the 23 seen were males in breeding plumage!

By noon we made it to Crandon Park's South Beach to look for shorebirds. Off the bat we relocated the continuing Snowy Plover in the large shorebird roost between life guard towers #12 and #13. We also picked out a Forster's Tern amongst all the Royals a little further north on the beach.
