Scouting trip to Shark Valley/ loop Road

Yesterday I made a dry run of Saturdays TAS field trip. The airboat stop had a snail kite at distance. Hopefully Saturday we will get close looks.

Shark Valley had the usual complete complement of wading birds with a few warblers and vireos.

Loop road is in excellent driving condition. The Pinecrest live oak forest had a large flock of vocal and feeding robins. Some were even practicing there territorial songs, something most of us never hear in South Florida. Saturday the weather looks great. We may be too early this year for swallow tail kites
