My sister and a friend are birding their way to the Keys and came across a light phase Short-tailed Hawk today along Tamiami Trail. The hawk was flying parallel to the Trail, then perched. It was seen just east of the Shark Valley entrance. They said the Snail Kites are at the usual spot.
