Got to my location for the Miami Winter Bird Count at 6:30am and off the bat heard a King Rail calling in the distance from the reeds. After working the area I managed to flush a Wilson's Snipe and witnessed a Peregrine Falcon actively dive bombing a large flock of Long-billed Dowitchers. All in all a great morning with 51 species in a short amount of time. Tomorrow evening I will be coming back hoping for some more waterfowl action. Full list linked below:
